Ronday bay
This is one of the top dive sites in Moalboal. There are two main dives here. The first a shallow dive starting at 5m deep where there is a hard and soft coral garden which slopes down to the edge of the wall at 23m. In the shallows there is a turtle cleaning station, where up to 10 turtles can be seen in a single dive. But don’t get excited too quickly, this isn’t the best spot for viewing turtles in Moalboal. The second dive at the Marine Sanctuary is a wall dive which starts at 23m and descends down to 40m near the bottom of the wall. There are massive sea fans standing errect from the wall, hiding a multitude of creatures such as baby dancing shrimp. There is a calmness to this dive site as it is well protected. Swimming in depths of approximately 30m are large (1m long) camoflague groupers. Probably residing here as the fenced area of the marine sanctuary is a zero fishing area.

Airplane wreck
The airplane, an American 2-seater donated by Lancair, was placed by Savedra Dive Center on this particular sandy part of the slope as an artificial reef project in the 1990s. is now home to a lot of marine residents who enjoy a quite unique home. This dive site is about 22 meters deep, in front of the plane wreck you find another drop off to about 50 meters. Good mix of soft and hard corals along the dive you will see trigger fish, turtles, sweetlips, nudibranchs, devil scorpion fish and more.

Dolphin house
The Dolphin House dive site can be adapted to snorkeling and to divers that have a good command of their buoyancy because… it’s drift diving baby!
Contrary to its name, there are absolutely no dolphins to see on this dive site. However, you will see multicolored corals, caves, canyons, and, if you are really observant, many sleeping turtles and teeny tiny pygmy seahorses that measure only 3mm. This is also a super opportunity to see a real Divemaster in action!
note drift diving.

Stunning coral formations are to be found in this well protected area of Moalboal. The Tongo sanctuary is one of the best dive sites in Moalboal. A reef top covered with hard and soft corals, a dramatic drop off, a great variety of reef fish with ghostpipe fish, triggers, frogfish, scorpionfish, hawksbill and green turtles, batfish, sweetlips and more. If you are lucky some eagle rays or a whale shark.

Sampaguita
The dive starts and ends with a deep wall going to endless depths. Watch your no decompression time. Small caves can be explored all along this dive so bring a dive torch to look inside the caves. Some parts of the reef are exposed during low tide. Be careful with your entry; make sure it’s deep enough if you make the roll backwards.
There is a good chance to see a Turtle in the caves, juvenile Barracudas, Fusiliers, a school of Razorfish (Aeoliscus strigatus), Leaf fish (Taenianotus triacanthus), Harlequin Ghost Pipefish (Solenostomus Paradoxus) and in the shallow and deep in between the corals, the famous Mandarin fish (Synchiropus splendidus). At the top of the reef you will find some very impressive Staghorn coral (Acropora sp.) – these are the builders of the reef.

Pescador Cathedral
The depth on this side ranges from 5m to 65 metres/ 200 feet, visibility 20 till 50 metres. There is an unbelievable variety of soft and hard corals, frog fish, schools of lion fish, barracudas, tuna and snappers. The highlight of this divesite is a magnificent cave that has a heavenly vertical swim through cave offering views of the surface so it’s easy to see why it’s called the Cathedral.
The Cathedral entrance starts at 28m entering into a vast chamber where sunlight shines in. The chimney continues to around 16m depth depending on tides, where the famous photos of the Cathedral are usually taken.
Occasionally you will meet sharks and at the north east side there is a plateau where you can find nudibranchs, shrimps and lots of other small marine life. The wall is covered with soft coral which offers a home to octopus, moray eels, snake-eels, nudibranchs and many more.
